Pilot Mountain
Pilot Mountain State Park offers hiking trails, rock climbing, and incredible views. Located less than 3 miles from Jomeokee Park it is the perfect place to begin exploring the local area.
Yadkin River
The nearby Yadkin River provides opportunities for fishing, canoeing, kayaking and more. There are adventure guides in the area that can coordinate for you or you can access the river at various points with your own gear.
Hanging Rock
Thirty minutes from Jomeokee is Hanging Rock State Park. This 8,600 acre park offers a variety of activities, including hiking, climbing, boating and fishing, swimming, and mountain biking.
Small Town Life
The small nearby towns of Pilot Mountain and Mt. Airy have their own exploration opportunities. Mt. Airy is the birthplace and hometown of actor Andy Griffith and is a stopping point for many fans of his famous TV show.

Sauratown Mountains
Sometimes called “the mountains away from the mountains,” this isolated mountain range offers incredible rock climbing opportunities (winter only) and hiking throughout.
